What this amendment would do

The purpose of this amendment is to change Section 6329d(b)(1) of title 5, United States Code, regarding PARENTAL BEREAVEMENT LEAVE.

It aims to add language specifying that the leave includes:

  • Any instance of the natural or spontaneous loss of an unborn child.
  • Miscarriage.
  • Stillbirth.
  • Loss that occurs due to a medical intervention for a pregnancy emergency, such as the treatment of an ectopic pregnancy.
