What this amendment would do

SA 6435, submitted by Ms. Hassan, Mr. Cassidy, and Mr. Kelly, aims to change the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program by expanding who can receive services.

The amendment adds "eligible persons" to the groups that can access these services.

  • An eligible person is defined as any eligible person as described in section 4101(5) of title 38.
  • An eligible person also includes the spouse of anyone who died while serving as a member of the Armed Forces.
