What this amendment would do

SA 6335, submitted by Mr. Wicker and Mr. Reed, aims to change specific funding authorizations and table structures within bill S. 4784.

  • Section 704: This section is to be struck.

  • Weapons Activities, Stockpile management:

    • Moves the "Restoration of statutorily-directed funding" item to a new position below the "W-80-5 Modification Program" item.
    • Changes the Senate Authorized amount for the "W-80-5 Modification Program" from "0" to "150,000".
    • Strikes the item for "Realignment of improperly applied reconciliation funds".

  • Production Modernization:

    • Changes the Senate Authorized amount for "21-D-510 HE Synthesis, Formulation, and Production, PX" from "0" to "42,000" and removes the "Project Continuation" line.
    • Removes the "Project Continuation" line for "18-D-690 Lithium Processing Facility, Y-12".

  • Stockpile research, technology, and engineering:

    • Changes the Senate Authorized amount for "Enhanced sustainment for Omega Laser Facility" under "Inertial Confinement Fusion" from "0" to "(15,000)".

  • Savannah River Site:

    • Changes the Senate Authorized amount for "Savannah River community and regulatory support" from "5,450" to "10,450".
    • Changes the "Payment in lieu of taxes" amount from "5,000" to "(5,000)".
    • Strikes the "Program restoration" item.
