What this amendment would do
SA 6315, submitted by Mr. Moran, aims to add a section to bill S. 4784 to establish and fund the Point Defense Battle Lab (PDBL) program.
- The amendment provides $10,000,000 from the Department of Defense funds for Air Force Operating Forces and Air Operations Training for the PDBL program.
- Out of that total, $5,000,000 is designated for the National Guard Bureau for procurement and operational activities working with Air Combat Command (ACC).
- The funds are intended to help the National Guard Bureau upgrade test and training facilities to support the counter-UAS mission of the active-duty component.
To keep officials accountable, the Secretary of the Air Force must give Congress a detailed budget and execution milestones for the PDBL program within 60 days after the Act is passed.
