What this amendment would do

The purpose of this amendment is to require that specific ship components be manufactured in the national technology and industrial base. The added components include:

  • Auxiliary equipment, such as pumps for shipboard services.

  • Shipboard cranes.
  • Spreaders for shipboard cranes.
  • Air circuit breakers.
  • Auxiliary chill water systems.
