What this amendment would do

Mr. Merkley submitted SA 602, which proposes adding a deficit-neutral reserve fund to the concurrent resolution.

The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels.

It aims to make these adjustments for legislation that relates to protections for Federal health workers, including protections against unjustified removals.

The only condition for this change is that the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
