What this amendment would do

SA 6010 is an amendment proposed to bill S. 4784. Its purpose is to provide for the Delaware River Basin Conservation Reauthorization.

The amendment aims to change the following in the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act:

  • Add Maryland to the sections regarding findings and the definitions of Basin and Basin State.
  • Change the term 4-State to 5-State.
  • Allow the Secretary to give priority to projects serving disadvantaged, small, or rural communities when selecting projects for the grant program.
  • Change the sunset date from 2023 to 2033.
