What this amendment would do

SA 5973, submitted by Mr. Coons, aims to add a new section to bill S. 4784. The purpose of this amendment is the Reauthorization of Tropical Forest and Coral Reef Conservation Act of 1998.

It changes the Act by adding new paragraphs to Section 806(d) to provide the following funding:

  • $20,000,000 for fiscal year 2028.
  • $20,000,000 for fiscal year 2029.
  • $20,000,000 for fiscal year 2030.
  • $20,000,000 for fiscal year 2031.
  • $20,000,000 for fiscal year 2032.
