What this amendment would do

SA 5844, submitted by Mr. KIM, aims to expand the use of the Industrial Base Fund for ships, submarines, and drydock and ship repair.

The purpose of this amendment is to add specific allowable investments to Section 4817(g)(1)(L) of title 10, United States Code. Specifically, it adds investments that improve the following at public or private shipbuilding and ship repair facilities:
