What this amendment would do

SA 5834, submitted by Ms. Rosen, aims to change Section 1094(d) of title 10, United States Code.

The purpose of this amendment is to add an authorization for virtual follow-up specialty care under TRICARE Prime across state lines.

Specifically, it adds a provision for a health-care professional who:

Has provided specialty care to a patient under TRICARE Prime in-person.
Is providing virtual follow-up specialty care under TRICARE Prime to that patient while the patient is in an isolated location, as determined by the Secretary of Defense.
