What this amendment would do

SA 5830, submitted by Mr. Ricketts and Mrs. Fischer, is an amendment to amendment SA 5823 for bill H.R. 6644, which aims to increase the supply of housing in America.

The purpose of this amendment is to change section 1001(a)(5) by replacing subparagraph (B) to specify that certain things are not included:

Manufactured homes, as defined in section 603 of the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974.
Homes acquired through employer-sponsored home sale relocation programs where an employer or third-party entity buys and sells a home to help with an employment-related move, rather than as an investment, and sells it within 365 days of buying it.
