What this amendment would do

SA 5773, submitted by Mr. HEINRICH, aims to add a new section to title I of bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

  • Provide $200,000,000 to the Secretary of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026 for the Shelter and Services Program. These funds remain available until September 30, 2029.

  • Change the amount appropriated under section 102 to $7,250,000,000.
