What this amendment would do

SA 5766, submitted by Mr. Peters, is an amendment to SA 5453 for bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to rescind specific unobligated balances from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (Public Law 119-21). It aims to add the following changes to the bill:

It adds a section to title I to rescind unobligated balances from sections 90001, 90002, 90003, 90004, 90006, and 90007 of title IX of the act.
It adds a section to title II to rescind unobligated balances from title X of the act.

The funds from these rescissions will be transferred to the general fund of the Treasury to reduce the deficit.
