SA 5731, submitted by Ms. Alsobrooks, aims to change when the Act takes effect.

• The purpose is to make the Act apply on the date a law is enacted that expands the definition of maximum fair price eligible individual.
• This expansion would include individuals enrolled under health insurance coverage offered in the individual or group market or a group health plan.
• The Secretary of Health and Human Services is responsible for determining when this occurs.
