What this amendment would do

SA 5690, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to put a limit on how funds are spent.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop any funds made available under this Act, as well as unobligated balances from title IX of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, from being obligated.

These funds cannot be used until the Inspector General of the Department of Justice finishes an investigation into why the bribery investigation into Tom Homan was dropped.
