What this amendment would do

SA 5683, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to honor 250 years of veteran contributions to the United States.

The purpose of this amendment is to prohibit the use of funds from the Act to detain, deport, or remove any qualifying veteran from the United States.

A qualifying veteran is defined as any veteran of the United States Armed Forces who has not been convicted of international or domestic terrorism or a violent crime.
