What this amendment would do

SA 5675, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to add a section to bill S. 2 regarding the public availability of Department of Homeland Security use-of-force policies and manuals.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to do the following:

Make all Department of Homeland Security policies and manuals relating to the use of force available on a publicly accessible website.
Complete this action no later than 30 days after the Act is enacted.
