What this amendment would do

SA 5671, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to add a new section to bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop any funds in this title from being used until certain medical care is provided. Specifically, it requires the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to provide inhalers to people in their custody who have chronic respiratory conditions, such as asthma.
