What this amendment would do

SA 5653, submitted by Mr. Lujan, is an amendment to bill S. 2. Its purpose is to create a Prohibition on Immunity.

The amendment aims to add a section to the bill that prevents the Department of Justice from granting immunity to President Trump, his family members, companies, or affiliates for the following:

General immunity from prosecution.
Facilitating money laundering for Mexican drug cartels, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Profiting and trading on insider information regarding an imminent war with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Facilitating or abusing the abuse of young women.
Illegally steering taxpayer dollars to business partners, family, and friends.
