What this amendment would do
Mr. Welch submitted SA 563 to the concurrent resolution on the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 and levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034. Common sense tells us that we need to keep a close eye on our elected officials when it comes to keeping household bills manageable.
What It Aims to Change or Add
- It adds a deficit-neutral reserve fund at the end of title III.
- It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels.
- It permits adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to prohibiting liquefied natural gas exports that would raise energy costs for households in the United States.
- It requires that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
