What this amendment would do

SA 5625, submitted by Mr. Lujan, aims to add a section regarding the Department of Justice to title II of the bill.

The amendment intends to make the following changes:

Set the amount appropriated to the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at $30,975,000,000.
Appropriate $100,000,000 to the Attorney General for fiscal year 2026. These funds are to remain available until September 30, 2029, for the Health Care Fraud Strike Force Program of the Department of Justice to hold providers accountable for their involvement in health care fraud schemes.
