What this amendment would do

SA 5618, submitted by Mr. HEINRICH, aims to add a section to title I of bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

Appropriate $200,000,000 to the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency for fiscal year 2026. These funds are available until September 30, 2029, for the Department of Homeland Security to investigate and monitor white nationalist propaganda networks and work with law enforcement partners to deter extremist violence.
Reduce the amount appropriated under section 102 to $7,250,000,000.
