What this amendment would do

SA 5614, submitted by Mr. HEINRICH, aims to add a new section to title I of bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

Appropriate $100,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 to the Secretary of Homeland Security to stop illicit vaping devices, including unauthorized e-cigarettes from the People's Republic of China. These funds stay available until September 30, 2029.
Reduce the amount appropriated under section 102 to $7,350,000,000.
