What this amendment would do

SA 5603, submitted by Mr. HEINRICH, proposes the following changes:

  • Funding Offset: It sets the amount appropriated to the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at $30,875,000,000.

  • FBI Appropriation: It provides $200,000,000 to the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for fiscal year 2026.

  • Purpose: These funds are available until September 30, 2029, for the FBI to collaborate with law enforcement partners to deter extremist violence and investigate and monitor terrorist threats to places of worship.
