What this amendment would do

SA 5602, submitted by Mr. HEINRICH, aims to add a section to title I of bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

  • Appropriate $200,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 to the Secretary of Homeland Security. These funds are available until September 30, 2029, to improve law enforcement operations against human trafficking and the import of goods made with forced labor.

  • Reduce the amount appropriated under section 102 to $7,250,000,000.
