What this amendment would do

SA 5586, submitted by Mr. Gallego, aims to add a section to bill S. 2 regarding the Audit of Anti-Weaponization Fund.

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure transparency and oversight of how Federal funds are distributed and used. It would require the Comptroller General of the United States to perform the following:

Conduct an audit of the Anti-Weaponization Fund (established by the Attorney General on May 18, 2026).
Perform these audits not less frequently than once every 90 days.
