What this amendment would do

SA 5583, submitted by Mr. Gallego, aims to add a specific prohibition to bill S. 2.

The prohibition applies to individuals who meet both of these conditions:

They were pardoned for an offense related to the attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
They were later convicted of unlawful restraint or kidnapping.
