What this amendment would do

SA 5561, submitted by Mr. PETERS, aims to add a section to title I of bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

  • Appropriate $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 to the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee to support oversight of funds provided in title I. These funds remain available until September 30, 2029.

  • Reduce the amount appropriated under section 104 to $2,493,000,000.
