What this amendment would do
SA 5540, submitted by Mr. KIM, aims to add a new section to bill S. 2.
The purpose of this amendment is to require all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and agents paid by Federal funds to:
- Receive training on the Guidelines for Enforcement Actions in or Near Protected Areas.
- Adhere to those guidelines, which were issued by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on October 27, 2021.
