What this amendment would do

SA 5526, submitted by Mr. Bennet, is an amendment to bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a limitation on the obligation of funds. It aims to add a section stating that no funds from the Act can be obligated until the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information makes available nondeployment funds from the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program to the States that were originally slated to receive them.
