What this amendment would do
This amendment aims to stop the Attorney General from making certain settlement agreements in lawsuits. It focuses on cases where the plaintiff is the President, the spouse of the President, a child of the President, or any entity controlled by those individuals.
The purpose of the amendment is to ensure that any such settlement agreements are null and void. Additionally, it makes it unlawful for any U.S. Government officer or employee to pay any account, claim, or demand resulting from these prohibited settlement agreements.
