What this amendment would do
SA 5506, submitted by Ms. Hirono and Mr. Van Hollen, aims to move funds from one agency to another to support specific programs.
The amendment proposes to transfer $105,000,000 from the amounts available to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to the Department of Justice.
These funds are intended for the fiscal years 2026 through 2029 to carry out youth mentoring programs managed by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
