What this amendment would do

SA 5490, submitted by Ms. Baldwin, is an amendment to SA 5453, which is proposed for bill S. 2.

The purpose of this amendment is to redirect money from one agency to another. Specifically, it aims to add a section that transfers $31,075,000,000 from the amounts available to the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under section 202 to the Secretary of Education.

This funding is intended to be used to carry out the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
