What this amendment would do
SA 5465, submitted by Ms. Warren, aims to add a section to bill S. 2 regarding the release of confidential supervisory information.
The purpose of this amendment is to require the following agencies to publicly release all confidential supervisory information they have regarding Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators:
- The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
- The Comptroller of the Currency
- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
This action must happen no later than 90 days after the Act is enacted.
The amendment allows these agencies to redact or withhold information that would be a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, such as the personal or medical files and personally identifiable information of victims.
