What this amendment would do

This amendment, submitted by Mr. Sanders, aims to add a section to bill S. 2 focused on repealing specific appropriations and making changes to the Medicaid program.

Funding Repeals

It repeals sections 90003 and 100052 of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and rescinds any unobligated balances from those sections.
It rescinds amounts made available to the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for fiscal year 2026.

Medicaid Program Changes

It repeals section 71107 of the Act titled An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14, which relates to eligibility determinations, and rescinds the amounts appropriated under that section.
It repeals section 71120 of the same Act, which relates to Medicaid cost sharing requirements, and rescinds the amounts appropriated under that section.
