What this amendment would do

Mr. Hawley submitted SA 518, which proposes adding a new section to the concurrent resolution for the fiscal years 2025 through 2034 budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to preventing the provision of any additional military, nonmilitary, or economic assistance to Ukraine.

What it Aims to Change or Add

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to preventing the provision of any additional military, nonmilitary, or economic assistance to Ukraine.

  • It requires that such legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
