S.Amdt. 514

Mr. Peters submitted amendment numbered SA 514 to the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The Purpose of the Amendment

The amendment aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund at the end of title III. This fund relates to ensuring military installations facing divestment receive preferential placement for new aircraft.

How It Changes the Budget Process

It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. They can also make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to ensuring military installations facing divestment receive preferential placement for new aircraft.

The only condition is that the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
