What this amendment would do

SA 4780, submitted by Ms. Murkowski, aims to change Section 303A(a) of the Help America Vote Act of 2002.

The purpose of this amendment is to add the following:

It allows for the use of an affidavit developed and provided by the State.
This affidavit lets an individual attest that they are a member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe.
It is for individuals who do not have a Tribal identification document with a photograph or expiration date because their Tribe does not issue that type of identification.
