What this amendment would do

SA 4776, submitted by Mr. WYDEN, aims to add a section to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

Repeal Executive Order 14260, which relates to protecting American energy from State overreach.
Ensure the Executive Order has no force or effect starting on the date the Act is enacted.
Stop the use of Federal funds to implement, administer, enforce, or carry out that specific Executive Order.

This amendment also includes a Savings Provision stating that nothing in the section should be seen as impairing any authority granted to the President.
