What this amendment would do

SA 4767, submitted by Mr. Bennet, is an amendment to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to address normal trade relations duties on pre-packaged baby food. It aims to add a section to the bill that ensures no duty is imposed on pre-packaged baby food imported from countries with normal trade relations with the United States in excess of the rate assessed as of January 19, 2025.

This rule applies regardless of other statutes or regulations that impose duties on a country-by-country basis, including authority regarding emergency situations.
