The purpose of this amendment is to express the sense of Congress regarding oil sanctions. It aims to add a section stating that the President and other executive branch officials should not waive, suspend, or terminate sanctions on:

Oil of Russian or Iranian origin.

This position holds as long as the Russian Federation continues to bomb Ukraine or refuses to constructively participate in United States-brokered peace talks between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
