What this amendment would do

SA 4654, submitted by Mr. Coons, is an amendment to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a new section to the bill that prohibits the use of Federal funds to station U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers or agents at or near polling places in any State during a special or general election.

This is intended to be consistent with the prohibition described in section 592 of title 18, United States Code.
