What this amendment would do
SA 4622, submitted by Mr. Hickenlooper, aims to add a section to bill S. 1383 regarding the Reinstatement of Energy Affordability Grants.
The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Energy to do the following within 60 days of the Act's enactment:
- Reinstate and fully fund 321 financial awards.
- Ensure funding follows previously executed agreements.
- Support 223 clean energy projects that were terminated on October 1, 2025.
