What this amendment would do

SA 4507, submitted by Mr. Schiff, aims to add a reporting requirement to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Attorney General to provide reports to the Committee on the Judiciary of the Senate and the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives.

These reports must be submitted within 90 days of the Act's enactment and every 180 days after that. The reports must include:

The number of no bills returned by Federal grand juries by district.
A list of the statutory reference for every criminal offense that was charged and declined.
