What this amendment would do

SA 4506, submitted by Mr. Schiff, is an amendment to bill S. 1383. It aims to add a new section to the end of the bill regarding the purpose of Judge Advocate Generals.

The amendment adds the following:

The sense of Congress that the main purpose of Judge Advocate Generals is to defend and represent military members and families.
That Judge Advocate Generals should not be appointed as temporary immigration judges within the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
