S.Amdt. 4499

SA 4499, submitted by Mr. Schiff, is an amendment to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section regarding Federal Communications Commission disclosure of threats to broadcasters.

It aims to require the Federal Communications Commission to publicly disclose the following:

• Any informal communication made by a Commissioner.
• Any meeting held or attended by a Commissioner.
• Any social media post made by a Commissioner.

These disclosures must be made if the communication, meeting, or post references a broadcast licensee or content broadcast by a licensee.
