Purpose and Changes

The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

  • This applies to legislation relating to helping households afford home heating.
  • It may include preventing funding reductions to the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program or the Weatherization Assistance Program.
  • The changes are allowed provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
