What this amendment would do

SA 4448, submitted by Mr. MURPHY, is an amendment to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to change Section 5812(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 regarding firearm transfers. It aims to add a requirement for documentary proof of United States citizenship, as defined in section 3 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. 20502), to be provided along with a photograph.
