What this amendment would do

SA 4438, submitted by Mr. Gallego, aims to add a new section to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to provide public information regarding Russian oil exports.

  • The Director must post an estimate of the dollar value of crude oil and petroleum product exports from the Russian Federation on a public Federal Government website.
  • This estimate must cover the preceding 7 days.
  • The value must be reported for each active waiver of sanctions that enabled those exports.
  • These reports must be posted within 7 days of the Act's enactment and every 7 days after that.
