What this amendment would do

SA 4432, submitted by Mr. GALLEGO, is an amendment to bill S. 1383.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section that prohibits the use of Federal funds for an invasion of a NATO country or its territory.

There are two exceptions to this prohibition:

The consent of that country.
The invocation of the collective defense provisions of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.
